Project Lead
MICA is led by The Centre for Excellence in Mining Innovation (CEMI) and headquartered in Sudbury, ON. CEMI provides management and overall program administration for the national network. With 250+ projects managed and over $115M leveraged in matched funding, CEMI helps convert high-potential mining innovation into practical, deployable outcomes.

The Bradshaw Research Initiative for Minerals and Mining (BRIMM) at UBC is a multidisciplinary research hub focused on solving major mining and exploration challenges. BRIMM connects expertise across engineering, geology, microbiology, policy, and data science to accelerate regional innovation and commercialization in British Columbia and the Yukon.

InnoTech Alberta is Alberta's leading research and technology organization, delivering industrial-scale R&D and de-risking technology development for industry and the public sector. As a MICA regional partner, InnoTech brings deep technical capability in advanced materials, measurement, and technology deployment.
