MICA

MICA Partner Network

Building Mining Innovation Through Partnerships

MICA brings together a national network of regionally embedded partners to accelerate commercialization, reduce innovation risk, and help Canada's mining sector deploy cleaner, more productive technologies faster.

What

A national commercialization ecosystem

How

Regional anchors + cross-sector collaboration

Why

Faster adoption, stronger SMEs, measurable impact

Why We Work With Partners

Mining commercialization is not a single-institution challenge. It requires local relationships, technical depth, and implementation pathways that vary by region. Our partner model ensures innovation is both nationally connected and locally executable.

How the Model Works

CEMI leads national strategy and delivery while each main partner anchors a regional ecosystem. Together, they identify high-impact opportunities, connect innovators to real operating environments, and support commercialization from pilot to adoption.

What Partners Deliver

Partners contribute applied research facilities, industry access, talent pipelines, and commercialization expertise. This integrated network helps Canadian SMEs scale and strengthens domestic and export competitiveness.
