CIM CONNECT (Mining Expo) 2027

Mar 01, 2027 - Mar 04, 2027 | , ,
CIM CONNECT Convention + Expo is Canada's premier technical mining convention and one of the country's most important annual gatherings for the minerals, metals, and mining industry. Organized by the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum, the event brings together thousands of mining professionals—including mine operators, engineers, geoscientists, researchers, equipment manufacturers, technology providers, consultants, government representatives, Indigenous partners, students, and investors—to exchange knowledge, showcase innovation, and strengthen collaboration across the mining value chain. The 2027 convention will be held May 2–5, 2027, in Montréal, Québec, and features Canada's largest mining trade show with more than 500 exhibitors, expert-led technical sessions, professional development short courses, keynote presentations, panel discussions, networking events, student and young professional programming, and the prestigious CIM Awards Gala. CIM CONNECT covers every stage of the mining lifecycle, with conference streams focused on geology, exploration, mining engineering, mineral processing, metallurgy, automation, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, health and safety, ESG, mine decarbonization, critical minerals, sustainability, and operational excellence. The convention serves as a platform for unveiling new technologies, sharing research, discussing industry challenges, and fostering collaboration between industry, academia, and government. Beyond the technical program, the CIM Expo provides attendees with hands-on access to the latest mining equipment, digital technologies, processing solutions, and professional services, making it one of the most comprehensive mining exhibitions in North America. For CEMI and MICA, CIM CONNECT represents a highly strategic event to engage directly with Canada's mining innovation ecosystem. It provides opportunities to recruit new MICA members, identify commercialization-ready technologies, connect innovative SMEs with mine operators, build partnerships with research institutions and governments, and showcase Canadian mining innovation to industry leaders. The event also offers an ideal forum to demonstrate how commercialization and technology deployment can improve mine productivity, enhance sustainability, strengthen Canada's critical minerals supply chain, and reinforce Canada's global leadership in mining innovation.
